Histamine can produce symptoms of sneezing, itching, watery eyes, and runny nose. Hydrocodone is a narcotic cough suppressant.

Tussionex cough syrup cause side effects that may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be awake and alert. Avoid drinking alcohol while using Tussionex cough syrup. Alcohol may increase drowsiness and dizziness. Hydrocodone may be habit-forming and should be used only by the person it was prescribed for. Do not give this medicine to a child younger than 6 years old.

Tussionex cough syrup contains a codeine derivative, which means that, along with stopping my cough, it usually gives me a warm and fuzzy feeling that wears off in a couple of hours or so.
